From frontend (HTML and CSS) via the terminal and Object-Orientated-Programming to the backend (Ruby programming language, the Ruby on Rails framework and Github for version control managing).

"I think Development Bootcamp is the best place to start if you want to learn to code. Personally, I now understand a lot more of what my dev-colleagues are doing all day. Never learned so much in such a short period of time and this course even changed my outlook on life and what you can accomplish. The teachers and coaches were very inspiring and not only helped us with the assignments step-by-step, they also inspired me that I could actually do what a developer does (on a beginner level of course). I mistakenly always thought you needed to be good at math for that, but I was actually making my own projects with Ruby on Rails! And I loved that it is so creative and technical at the same time.

It was amazing to see how most people of the group started out as real beginners, but in the end made impressive projects. The last day we were pushing and pulling to/from Github as if it were nothing.

It was a great week, with a very intensive but inspiring program, great organisation and a wonderful group of people. Looking forward to part II, I wanna code so much more now! The atmosphere stays focused but very comfortably casual, which means you get to know the people in your group. "Bottomline: I would ab-so-lu-te-ly recommend this training to anyone! You’ll come away with knowledge & tools, many resources, concrete tips to continue your development, a network and lots of inspiration.

The bootcamp provides an all-round introduction to coding. The daytime sessions focus on several aspects coding; the evening sessions on issues related to coding. For example, how to get into coding by learning it yourself – how amazing and cool is that?!

The trainers were great. (The fact that I only put down Wouter does not do the others justice.) All had their own styles and expertise. But all were equally passionate about coding and enthusiastic to ‘share that love’. All were very accessible and happy to help with whatever question we threw at them. Once or twice did I think I didn’t follow but in the end it all came together for me. As an alpha I much appreciated the use of real life examples, as there were tortilla and cats to explain looping and object oriented programming respectively.

Everything else was conducive to learning as well. The other participants were all enthusiastic and eager to learn. Those that did know more than me –I'm an absolute beginner- were also happy to help and share. The catering by @rooskookt was excellent and there was plently time to relax during lunch and dinner. "This bootcamp was a really great experience.

I had already some knowledge in HTML and CSS, but it was still great to go over the basics. And then to move onto Ruby, Ruby on Rails and OOP.

Of course there is still so much that I have to learn. But it's given me the tools to continue by myself, and I feel that I have a general basic understanding of Ruby.

If you're looking to kickstart your coding learning adventure, I really recommend doing this bootcamp. You get given so many resources and you actually get to code your ideas! Plus the teachers and coaches are great and really helpful.
And the food was really yummy!

"Het DevelopmentBootcamp was een fantastische ervaring. Het programma gaat snel maar er is voldoende tijd om het onder de knie te krijgen. En heb je tijd over, dan is er altijd meer om je in te verdiepen. De docenten zijn top en ze helpen je naar jouw volgende stap, welke die ook is. Buiten pure kennis zijn er ook inspirerende lezingen over Lean(Start)Up en een persoonlijk verhaal over hoe het is om je goede baan als architect op te geven om je op code te storten. Om vervolgens een half jaar later je eerste IT-baantje te hebben. Je krijgt ook meer dan voldoende concrete tips voor je verdere educatie-traject en via Slack blijft er de mogelijkheid tot 'nazorg' maar ook contact met je medestudenten.
